What this service actually involves
Fob replacement is sourcing plus pairing: the exact part for your VIN, programmed to the car at your location, with the mechanical emergency blade inside the fob cut so a dead battery never strands you. Where a quality aftermarket board exists for your model we quote both it and OEM; where the aftermarket is known to be flaky for your make, we say so instead of selling it.
Broken fobs deserve a look before replacement: a cracked shell with a healthy board transplants into a new case for far less than a new fob, keeping its existing pairing. Water is the exception, salt water especially; a fob that swam in the Atlantic is usually a replacement, not a rescue.
