Master Key Systems
One key for the owner, the right keys for everyone else, and a paper trail that stays sane.
What this service actually involves
A master-key system turns a ring of twenty keys into a hierarchy: the owner's key opens everything, the manager's opens their floor, staff keys open exactly the doors their job needs. Behind it sits real design work, pinning charts, key control, and room to grow without redesigning, which is the difference between a system and a mess.
Design starts with how the business actually runs: who must reach what, what happens on turnover, which doors deserve restricted keyways so copies cannot quietly multiply. The result is documented, expandable, and serviced by the same van that built it, including the periodic rekeys that keep a hierarchy honest.
Questions, answered straight
We have eight suites and three managers.
A textbook three-level system: grand master, per-manager masters, and door keys. Designed with spare capacity so suite nine does not force a rebuild.
What stops staff copying their keys?
Restricted keyways: blanks the manufacturer controls and cuts only against your authorization. Standard hardware-store blanks cannot exist for them.
A master key was lost. How bad?
Depends on the design: a well-built system rekeys the affected level without touching the rest. That containment is exactly why the design phase matters.
